Partnership Place enables persons with serious mental illness to live productively in their community. Clients are individuals (16 yr. and over) who have a diagnosis of mental illness and are looking for rehabilitation. Partnership Place is here to deliver the following outcomes:

  • Clients build/enhance vocational, social and emotional skills

  • Clients form and belong to Community -- Partnership Place and larger

  • Clients have a place where they find/create/rediscover their purpose and meaningful voice, and take responsibility for their lives

  • Clients have a place where basic needs are addressed: food, shelter and employment

What we are

Partnership Place is an accredited multi-service, best practice community based mental health rehabilitation program. The clubhouse aims to create and maintain a supportive environment that assists people in their recovery from a serious mental illness. This is accomplished through a full range of Psychosocial Rehabilitation opportunities, such as prevocational, vocational, housing and recreation.

Through individual interests, members join and participate in areas of the clubhouse called Units. Working in partnership with staff, members use and strengthen their abilities, as well gain confidence in the running the clubhouse. This work provides a sense of belonging, accomplishment and an opportunity to build relationships.

Employment and Education

Career Centre provides opportunities and resources for the clubhouse members in their employment goals and/or return to school, including a weekly Literacy program. Furthermore, opportunities for gainful employment are provided through:

1. Group Employment (GE)
A group of PAR members work, with support of a staff member, on a time-limited job to complete one-time or on-going projects, i.e., inserting flyers and assembling the local community newspaper;

2. Transitional Employment (TE)
Members can work in a temporary time-limited part-time job for a competitive wage. These particular jobs belong to the clubhouse and are supported according to each individual member's needs.
