Impact Youth Program

Impact is a strengths based program for youth that promotes personal responsibility and positive social interactions. Impact provides substance abuse education and harm reduction strategies in individual and group settings. We connect young people to information and services in their community.

What is Impact?

Impact youth group offers a positive safe place for young people to practice life and social skill development, with an emphasis on substance abuse education and harm reduction skills and strategies. Impact also offers individualized, community-based supportive counselling to youth regarding substance use, mental health, personal growth and recovery.

Who can benefit?

Anyone 12 – 18 years old who lives in Brampton, Caledon or Malton, who experiences difficulties at home, school or in the community as a result of substance use and/or mental health problems.

What are the major benefits?

  • Engaging group discussions, activities, games and guest speakers
  • Opportunities for youth to discuss substance youth and coping strategies with peers in a confidential, open and non-judgemental environment
  • Access to group programs such as fitness promotion, artistic and media activities, and family support.
  • A safe place to learn and practice skills that can positive impact family relationships, peer interactions and school performance.
  • Youth and families and connected to information and services in their community.
  • Service in safe and convenient locations, including homes, community settings and our program locations.
