10 Tips for Mental Health
Are you a front line mental health professional, case manager, assessment and referral professional, counsellor, crisis interventionist, or social worker who serves clients with concurrent disorders (mental health and substance abuse issue) in Peel Region? If so, you may be interested in our specialized 12-month training program which includes:

ASIST (Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training)
NVCI (Non-Violent Crisis Intervention)
Concurrent Disorders

To take part, your agency must commit to joining our Concurrent Disorders Resource Network. Members of the Network sign a partnership agreement indicating that your agency agrees to:

  • Designate one staff member to take all three training modules

  • Once training is completed, have designated staff member participate in “Solution Sessions,” which are discussions designed to support application of new knowledge (10 three-hour sessions over 12 months)

  • Ensure designated staff person provides evaluation and feedback

All training is provided free of charge. However, a one-time fee of $40 per training session will be charged to offset the cost of materials.
