The Canadian Mental
Health Association/Peel Branch serves people who reside or work in
Peel Region. Peel Region comprises the Town of Caledon to the
north, the City of Brampton in the centre, and the City of
Mississauga to the south.

According to the 2006 Canadian census, the population of the
Region of Peel was 988,948. Mississauga had 612,925 residents;
Brampton had 325,428 residents and Caledon had 50, 595.
Forecasters estimate that Peel Region's 2006 population is
1,294,000 divided accordingly:

With an estimated one in five people experiencing a mental
illness in their life time, that means that almost 232,000 Peel
residents could have questions about or need referral to
mental health services. That's why CMHA/Peel's
Information & Referral
service exists.
The Region of Peel also administers a subsidized housing
program for Peel residents. There is a waiting list. Application
is made through PATH (Peel Access To Housing.) The Ontario
Works in Peel social assistance program is also administered
through the Regional Municipality of Peel. Their no. is
