Central Intake and Referral
CMHA/Peel’s Intake and referral service offers personalized services, including assessment of mental health and addiction needs, and connects individuals to CMHA/Peel and other community programs and services.

Anyone who is seeking mental health and/or addiction services for themselves, family, friends or employees can use this intake and referral service.

Service criteria vary and are program specific; primarily we serve anyone in Peel Region, 16 years of age and over, who experiences mental health concerns that interfere with their daily life in a significant way.

Services include:

  • Accessible service over the phone, online or in person, in safe and convenient locations including homes, community settings and our central location at the Community Door, Brampton
  • In-person assessment, focusing on the individual’s strengths and needs
  • Connections to mental health, addiction and community services, including CMHA/Peel programs
  • Intensive, short-term, individualized mental health support focussing on immediate needs
  • Regular follow-up, outreach and support to individuals who are waiting for service
  • Access to group programs such as: peer support, social engagement and family support

HOW TO REACH US

During office hours, Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., call 905-451-2123 and an intake worker will support you, your loved one, or client in accessing our services or with other community referrals.
