Central Intake Coordinator is 905-795-8742 ext. 233 Housing And Support Peel’s purpose is to provide supportive
housing to people with a severe mental illness who are homeless or
at imminent risk of becoming homeless. It aims to achieve the
following outcomes:
- Clients have a life skills coach, in their own environment,
who works with them and, where desirable, their family and
friends, to achieve goals and satisfy their needs – housing,
income and activities of daily living
- Clients have someone to help them navigate the social and
community services system and link with appropriate services
- In terms of their mental illness, clients have someone who
helps them understand and manage their illness and achieve
recovery.
Following assessment and acceptance by the program, a client is
assigned a H.A.S.P. worker to provide on-going supportive
assistance to consumers (people with a mental illness) and/or
their supports, i.e., professionals, family members and other
caregivers. H.A.S.P. is operated by a number of agencies
and managed by an inter-agency committee. The agencies involved

Peel Addiction Assessment and Referral Centre (P.A.A.R.C.)
Supportive Housing in Peel (S.H.I.P.)
